The Honda Civic Type R is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. It is equipped with revised aerodynamic bodywork, a rear wing, LED lighting, Brembo front brakes, and adaptive dampers as well as a 9″ infotainment system with navigation, smartphone connectivity, a Bose premium audio system, a multi-view rear camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS). This FL5 Type-R was purchased new in Pohanka Honda and has never been in any accident evident by the clean car fax and clean title.
The cabin features front sport seats trimmed in red suede-effect upholstery along with black cloth rear upholstery, while the center console is accented by bright trim, and red carpets line the footwells. Appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, a multi-view rear camera, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), push-button ignition, an aluminum shift knob, a 9″ infotainment system with navigation, smartphone connectivity, and a Bose premium audio system system. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames shift light indicators and a configurable digital instrument cluster with a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.
The turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter inline-four features VTEC variable valve timing and utilizes a redesigned turbocharger and exhaust system compared to the previous generation. Output was factory rated at 315 horsepower with 310 lb-ft of torque. Mehcanically the car is stock and maintains factory warranty.
Suspension has been upgraded to fortune auto coil overs and a front strut bar has stiffened up the chassis and created better handling and balance.
